Code of Editorial Ethics
Effective Date: August 20, 2026 • Last Updated: August 20, 2026
1. Ethical Foundations
The Code of Editorial Ethics defines the moral and professional principles governing all writers, researchers, editors, and technical contributors at GovIndiaNews. As a publication explaining public welfare schemes, public recruitment, and global macroeconomics, our duty is to provide objective, honest, and uncorrupted reporting.
2. Truthfulness & Public Trust
Accuracy and truthfulness supersede speed. GovIndiaNews contributors are strictly forbidden from fabricating facts, manufacturing quotes, altering official government numbers, or publishing misleading sensational headlines.
3. Conflicts of Interest & Independence
GovIndiaNews staff and editorial contributors must avoid any financial or personal conflict of interest that could compromise editorial objectivity:
- Gifts, payments, or favors from government officials, political parties, or corporate PR firms are strictly prohibited.
- Contributors must disclose any personal or family interest in entities covered in specialized financial reports.
4. Financial Reporting Neutrality
In reporting on Global Finance, macroeconomic developments, and central bank interest rate decisions, contributors are strictly barred from engaged trading based on non-public material information or publishing articles designed to manipulate market asset prices.
5. Anti-Plagiarism & Intellectual Integrity
Plagiarism is an absolute violation of our publishing ethics. All written analysis published on GovIndiaNews must be original. Quotations or statistics borrowed from primary research papers or institutional releases must be clearly attributed.
6. Treatment of Sources & Anonymous Information
We prioritize public primary records over anonymous leaks. When background briefings are referenced, contributors must verify the source's authority and corroborate statements with secondary primary documentation.
7. Commercial Separation & Advertising Rules
Advertisers have zero influence over our editorial desk. We do not publish stealth advertising, disguised paid posts, or commercial promotions presented as independent reporting.
8. Ethics Compliance Enforcement
Breaches of this Ethics Policy result in disciplinary review, article retraction, and potential termination of contributor privileges.
To report potential ethical violations, email ethics@govindianews.com or submit a note via contact.html.
