• Material Factual Corrections: Rectifying an incorrect date, wrong salary band, erroneous vacancy count, mistaken eligibility age limit, or wrong financial statistic. Material corrections require a formal Correction Note.

3. How Corrections Are Displayed on Articles

When a material correction is made to an article on GovIndiaNews, the following actions are executed immediately:

1. The erroneous text within the article body is corrected.
2. The "Last Updated" timestamp in the article header is updated to reflect the revision date.
3. A prominent Correction Note is appended at the bottom of the article body stating clearly what was corrected, the date of the correction, and the correct official information.

4. Step-by-Step Error Reporting Process

We encourage readers, government officials, and policy researchers to report potential factual errors. To submit a correction request:

1. Locate the exact article URL on GovIndiaNews.
2. Identify the specific sentence or data point believed to be inaccurate.
3. Provide official primary source documentation (e.g., official gazette PDF, government press release link) demonstrating the correct data point.
4. Email our correction desk at corrections@govindianews.com or use our contact portal.

5. Response Timelines for Error Submissions

Our editorial desk reviews incoming error reports within 24 business hours. If the report is validated against primary government documentation, the article is updated and a Correction Note is appended immediately.

6. Archival Records & Social Media Clarifications

We do not quietly delete erroneous articles or pretend errors never happened. Transparent correction note logs are maintained permanently on modified pages.
